Terms & Conditions

Rentwell is an online property-rental platform serving Calabar, Cross River State. Rentwell is operated by JIVU & CO (CAC BN 7626963), a registered business name in Nigeria. "Rentwell", "we" and "us" refer to the platform and its operator.

These Terms apply to every visitor and account holder: tenants, landlords (including authorised representatives), verification officers and administrators. Role-specific terms (Landlord Terms, Tenant Terms) and our other policies form part of these Terms.

Rentwell lets landlords list homes, arranges independent inspections of listed homes, lets tenants search, request viewings and apply, and processes rental payments through bank transfer or Paystack card payment.

Rentwell is not the owner or landlord of any listed property, and is not a party to the tenancy between a landlord and a tenant unless expressly stated in writing.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. Information you give us must be true, current and your own.

Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, our Prohibited Use & Fraud Policy, or the law.

Listings are created by landlords. A listing displays the Rentwell Verified status only after an inspection report with photo evidence has been completed and approved by a Rentwell administrator. What verification does and does not mean is explained in the Verification Policy.

Every amount payable for a property is shown as an itemised breakdown before you apply and again before you pay. Payments are governed by the Fees & Payments Policy and the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

You must not misuse Rentwell. Examples of prohibited conduct are set out in the Prohibited Use & Fraud Policy.

You keep ownership of photos and information you upload. You give Rentwell a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and process that content for operating the platform, including showing approved listing photos publicly.

Our responsibility to you is limited as described in the Limitation of Liability. Disputes are handled under the Dispute Resolution & Governing Law policy.

We may update these Terms. The version number and effective date at the top of each document show which version applies. Material changes will be announced on the platform, and continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated version.
